This anchor is designed for boats feet in length . This means that for every foot of water depth, 5 feet of line is required.

For example to anchor in 30 feet of water, 150 feet of line is required. Therefore, it is not necessary for the anchor to be excessively large or heavy to work.

This anchor looks small for my boat and isn very heavy danforth anchors get their holding power from mechanical design. Do I need to use an anchor chain with this anchor it is necessary to use an anchor chain with danforth anchors. The length of chain helps the anchor set by holding the anchor stock Down.

All anchors ship ups ground. It is not necessary to use a chain with Cheney anchors. Proudly made in the usa.
