The model 4h is designed for handling rope or cable on pleasure craft work boats. Power is applied to the wire rope drum through a cone clutch, which also used as brake when dropping anchor. Deck pipe will handle chain and line with thimble. This windlass looks and works great.

The drum is on floor next to windlass. The drum is equipped with a friction clutch for free spooling. This windlass is set up with cable drum on starboard side and rope port. Unit may be hand operated with an emergency handle in case of power failure.

Note: shipping cost to lower 48 states in USA. Plath hydraulic windlass this unit is basically the same as model 4 electric, except for being powered hydraulically and providing a greater hoisting capacity. Shaft and fittings made of stainless steel. The gear type hydraulic motor operates on 1000 psi cable drum is available to permit anchoring in deep water and designed for handling 600' of 3/8 steel or 300' 1 2.
