Item 55 installation instructions prior to installation, orient the strip so that an imprinted end of a is located at top. It requires approx 36 screws. Install the lowest screws at tide. Piling-guard strips can also be cut to desired length using a circular saw. In some very rare cases, it may be desirable to install portion of Piling-guards underwater.

If needed, you can clamp the Piling-guard strip to Piling during installation. Note: strips only for this list, the screws are not included. Non-marking to boat surfaces.

Due to the chemical make up of all stainless steel screws, they are slightly softer than conventional screws and therefore easier sheer if over tightened. Remove shellfish and barnacles from the Pilings before installation. Resists salt, wear, UV rays and hot cold temperature extremes. Piling-guards can be closely butted together end-to-end for applications requiring strips longer than the standard strip length of 8 feet.
